Eastern Bay is one of the nice picnic bays in Bandar Khayran great for diving and snorkeling.

Eastern Bay is a 20min trip from Muscat. The bay has a sandy bottom perfect for boats to drop their anchor and use the beach for picnics in between dives. It is a shallow dive so most divers do it as a good 2nd dive when they have had enough surface time on the beach drinking tea or coffee. Your dive starts at the headland towards the open sea keeping the land to your right side. It is a one way dive with a lot of hard corals and feeding turtles at the shore side of the dive. Take your time to look as they sit in the coral and will not move. The seaward side of the dive is not so abundant with corals but the sandy areas attract many rays, making it worth exploring.
